About SOAR
SOAR Men’s Group began in June 2023, in the cellars at St Martin’s Church Centre, Liskeard. The basic idea was to create a space where men could come, share life and be supported, through the highs and lows of recovery, mental health and faith. And lots of banter and laughs.
What started as a drop in session, has become a community. Within a year SOAR groups have been set up in Bodmin and Lanivet too, as well as SOAR women’s groups, with more locations on the horizon. We’re passionate about seeing people feel at home and find a supportive community.
Life is full of ups and downs, and so many people don’t have the opportunity to share that with others. Our groups are Christian-based, so you’ll find prayer and scripture readings in the mix with drinking coffee, eating snacks, banter and sharing life. All are welcome to our groups.
